New RV Cabinet Struts

I recently replaced several of the struts in our RV’s overhead cabinets. The process is super simple, requires very few tools and makes a huge improvement to the day to day usability of our bus “Doris The Slow Loris”.

I purchased the new struts from amazon:

And I purchased the improved lower bracket, that provides more strength and support to the struts, from amazon as well:

Now these aren’t super cheap…

In fact they cost me $104.94 with prime and free shipping for 6 cabinets worth of struts. That’s almost $18 per cabinet. I prioritized the cabinets that needed the upgrade worst, and the ones that we’d be using most often.

I’m super excited how this project turned out and I’ll be replacing an additional 6 cabinets shortly.
