Erica Haller - Angler/Guide & Python Hunter!

Erica Haller, is quite simply one of the coolest people I have had the honor to meet. Erica is one of those people that us weekend warriors are pretending to be. She’s spent her entire life dedicated to learning about the natural world and her energy is about as radiant as our sun.

We got to spend time talking about her education in Parks and protected area management, her early career in the state parks of Colorado and then her time in the National Park Ranger program in states like Alaska, Hawaii and the Everglades.

Because Erica is an all around badass, she spent some time in Florida hunting invasive pythons, turning their skins into belts, hat bands and cuffs, a process I was fascinated to learn about. And like most things…you kind of just have to jump in and figure it out!

We also got to talk about her new career as a fly fishing guide and the amazing experiences she has had exploring the 10,000 islands area of Florida that she resides and fishes in.

I’m so lucky we got to have this conversation and I’m looking forward to bunch more in the future.
