Chris Conant - Morning Dew Fishing Company

Chris Conant, owner of Morning Dew Fishing Company in SouthWest Florida joins the show to talk about his career as a professional fly fishing guide.

Chris Contant didn’t come to the profession of fly fishing guide the tradtional way, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t pay his dues. Following the unexpected passing of his father, Chris and his wife Becca chose to prioritize lifestyle over career and follow a passion for the outdoors, traveling the United States in a tiny camper with their two dogs. The couple found themselves in SouthEast Idaho and eventually settled at the South Fork Lodge, on the bank of the snake river.

The storied lodge was no mystery to Chris, as he’d spent nearly 10 summers in the area, working and guiding at the famous trout anglers bucket list destination.

We enjoyed a great conversation about chris’s passion for fishing, for guiding and the new local the couple are calling home, SouthWest Florida. In 2020, Chris and Becca made a big transition and moved from trout to fish like Tarpon, Snook and Redfish.
