Korkers Devils Canyon Wading Boots Unboxing and Initial Reivew

I recently acquired a pair of the Korkers Devils Canyon Wading Boots, in a size 10. These boots caught my eye for three primary reasons. First, the interchangeable soles that Korkers offers seem really versatile for different conditions. Second, the Boa lacing system really intrigued me from a speed and efficiency standpoint. Third, the general quality of materials, design and construction seemed very high.

My purchase included the boots themselves in a size 10. I am 5 foot nine inches tall and wear a size 8.5-9 in US sizing for shoes. The pair that I ordered also included two sets of Omnitrax soles, the Standard Klingon and the Studded Klingons. Missouri has banned felt soles in just about all of the rivers so I figured this option was more practical, even though $20 more expensive. The studded soles themselves are nearly $60 so I figured this was actually a $40 dollar savings as Id likely never use the felt soles.

I’m very impressed with the quality of materials and construction. All of the video reviews that I watched prior to purchase bragged about the longevity and how well they held up over 2-3 seasons of regular wading.

Missouri primarily consists of Trout and Small Mouth fishing on our rivers so the majority of the early use will be in the Current, Eleven Point and North Fork Rivers here in my home state.

I’ll report back when I’ve put some miles on the boots and have more of a feel for how they are performing.
