Fly Tying Essentials

Fly Tying, to the novice, feels like a very scary activity, filled with strange tools, expensive materials and complex terminology.

In truth however, fly tying is a social activity, requiring a few basic tools, some simple materials and just a couple of techniques to get going. I’ve personally been tying for just 8 months and I’ve nearly filled two fly boxes with hundreds of flies.
