Backpacking Gear for a Summer One-Nighter
Your backpacking gear is a deeply personal series of choices. Each piece of kit will play a role in your experience when you turn your feet to the woods. Your shelter will determine how you sleep and how you spend your rainy days…your backpack, a direct extension of your being. I’m a firm believer in trying lots of solutions to the same problem, and over time, you’ll find the items that work best for you. I wanted to provide a super basic overview of the items I take with me, so if you are knew, you have a place to start. If you are more experienced, maybe you’ll get one or two ideas you might want to tweak in your own system.
