JMT Prep with Triple Nickel Outdoors

On this episode of the Outdoors Podcast, I’m joined by Nick of Triple Nickel Outdoors.

Nick is a former member of the United States Air Force, and now serves as a local fire fighter in a town just outside the island of Manhattan in New York. Nick is soon going to be embarking on what is considered by many a bucket list trip. Known as the JMT, the John Muir trail extends over 200 miles and changes over 37,000 feet of elevation. The trip takes between 20 and 30 days and serves as a proving ground for the strongest of constitutions.

Nick will be hiking the trail solo, and North bound, with a starting point of Yosemite Valley.

We talk about his gear, his preparations and his expectations. We had a great time and I can’t wait for you to check out this super fun talk.
