Campsite Conversations - Casey Heeter
Casey and I met through the Hammock Forums Facebook Group. We started talking about the Red River Gorge, a place that Casey has spent over 100 nights, sleeping outside, and our friendship took off from there.
On this episode, the first that I have recorded live in the outdoors, Casey and I talk about our camping trip in the Gorge in late April. We talked about our love of cottage vendors, some of the gear we used on this trip, how we plan for adventures and more. We also talk quite a bit about conservation, ethics in the outdoors and what it means to be a “good outdoorsman”.
We finished up chatting about a proposed plan for a new resort in the area around the gorge to help drive tourism and economy in the area.
Thanks again Casey for being a great host and guiding Sara, Yose and I around the area.
