Aptitude Outdoors Colab Cast

Paul from Aptitude Outdoors Podcast and I decided that we are pretty much the same human, living in two different states.

Paul decided after a little post metal band wandering that a full go at the Appalachian Trail sounded like a fine next step in life. After completing the trail, he fell in love with all things outdoors and has since poured his life into sharing incredible stories.

One thing I really like about Paul, and something that really differentiates us, is that he is far less gear obessesed then I am, and really hones in on the activities itself. He’s got a fascination with the wonder of the wilderness that I really admire.

If you enjoy Outdoors Podcast, you are going to love Pauls Passion project, Aptitude Outdoors Podcast, YouTube channel and accompanying social media.

In the epsiode, we talk about our shared love of backpacking, hiking and camping. Paul gives me a rundown on how he got into hunting and we share some anecdotes on the time one spends in preparation for hunting season.

We also spent a little bit chatting about our love of the water, rivers, streams, canoes and kayaks. Paul hasn’t ever been on a traditional float trip so we are actually hoping to plan one together in the future.

We are super pumped about future collaborations and we are already planning a fall backpacking trip to the Red River Gorge with Casey Heeter from Episode 13.
